Hi my dolls and gents.
Many of you dolls have been asking me what type of foundation I use so I thought it would be cool if I talked about about the different foundation types that I know of . Please remember that I am not a professional and this is just based on my personal knowledge 👍
Do not want too bore you so will make it as brief as possible;)
Foundation to me is the most important step when applying make up as its the base of everything after you have applied your moisturizer of choice.
This is the type of foundation that I have been using I guess for the past 8 months or so and probably the only foundation type I will ever use because there iS a variety of finishes and formulas to choose from.
So it makes it easier to find one that suits your skin type. There are formulas available for:
They also come in a range of coverage:
This is the most popular type of foundation. It’s best for people who do not like the Cakey look!
E.g M.A.C studio fix, M.A.C Prolongwear, M.A.C match master Revlon color stay, Estée launder double wear,Make UP Foerver HD , Nars sheer/matte , Lancôme, Mary Kay
CREAM TO POWDER
It’s a creamy foundation that dries up to a powder finish .so it’s suitable for dry skin.
It also Saves time as its kind of a foundation and powder in one therefore you do need to apply powder on top.
E.g M.A.C studio tech,Sleek cream to powder, Black Opal cream to powder, Mary Kay cream to powder
It’s a whipped foundation and results in a liquid coverage.
It feels very light on skin and is natural looking .
Best suited for normal or dry or even aging skin.
E.g Maybelline Dream Matte
It’s a cream foundation and concealor in one.offers full coverage.
Best for those with scars or imperfections and want to even out their skin.
It doesn’t need to be applied on the whole face but only on the areas needed then blended out .
It can easily give you a Cakey look and it’s my least favorite foundation type.
E.g Bobbi Brown , Iman, Black Opal
Good for those that are on the go.
Suited for oily skin and should not be used on dry skin as it will emphasize on dryness or dry patches.
E.g M.A.C Studio tec plus, Mary Kay mineral foundation
For those of you who need a guide on foundation types I hope this was some how helpful.
